I had actually avoided watching this. Too much industry buzz going on about it. It is a good spot. Although he cynical part of me would love to know more behind the scenes info about it all. Because I have my doubts how real any filmed “real” moment is.

And truth be told I can’t ever hear or think about Heineken without thinking about Blue Velvet.

Minus the Bear was amazing as always. The sounds they can have come out of their guitars is amazing.  The opener Beach Slang was really good too. They we’re like a young not drunk Replacements.

Delmar Hall is a cool venue. Will definitely see more shows there for sure.

I have listened to them since 2002.

They were the first show Elias (my oldest son) ever went to. I took him to see them at pops when he was probably 12/13.

I've seen them easily a half dozen times now.

I've bought every album they have put out.

I am never without my MTB koozie when I'm at the pool.

They are playing at Delmar Hall tonight.

WTF

So my grass was already getting long and unruly. It's just April but I knew I had to mow it this weekend.

So after lounging all morning Saturday and then taking Jett to keyboard lessons, I went home to tackle the yard work.

I was getting my trimmer cleaned up and prepped. Then was going to go get fresh gas to put in the mower.

But?

Where the fuck was the mower?

It was gone.

Stolen.

I was in shock.

I live in an area that the crime rate is pretty much ZERO. But I guess not.

So problem is I have no clue as to when it went missing. SInce I had shattered my wrist last March and was in a cast then rehab for what seemed like forever last season, I had hired a place to do our yard.

So maybe it's been missing for a year. Maybe it got stolen this past winter. MAybe it got stolen Friday night. I don't have a clue.

Thing is, the mower was old and kinda shitty.

So I went and bought a new one. Very annoying.

To the person out there who stole it, FUCK YOU.

Uh, so my Mom read this and reminded me, I had leant it to her and stored it at her house this winter. Oops.

Long Time No Post

Either I’m busy. Or I just don’t have anything interesting to say or share.

If you have not watched the new Dave Chapelle stand-up specials on Netflix, you need to do that as soon as possible. They are both very funny but the first one is absolutely amazing.

I am squeezing in one more tattoo appointment before the end of tattoo season (when my pool opens).

There are several shows in April that I am going to go to, Minus The Bear, The Damned and The Flaming Lips.

And the post below this about the Breaking Bad movie that someone edited, I tried to watch it last night. While I appreciate the effort and time that went into such a project, I have to say it just wasn’t very good. I think you would have to have seen the show to understand it. It did make me realize how much I had forgotten about the show.

Back to silence.
