I am tired of seeing wine bottle packaging and vodka bottle packaging in design books and websites.
I get it you can make something fancy and designy for those products. Lets move on.

I noticed that Stoli billboard on Kingshwy the other day and remembered that they had a three olives grape advertisement in maybe the same spot for a while, and I wasn't sure whether to be more baffled by the fact that they were advertising for ONE flavor of a brand of vodka or to be shocked by the fact that we live in a mid size city where the drinking culture is that important that someone will pay for a billboard...the stoli redesign is pretty bold though.
I took this class that was on product design and one of the set projects was to redesign wine bottles and I CAN'T even tell you how excited I was when he revamped the project to coming up with an alternative solution to plastic water bottles. I mean, it's still this very designy design problem, but whatever, at least I didn't have to come up with a wine bottle label.
