I read a good article that talks about how the internet has changed the music industry.
It is pretty much on target with how I have always thought. That if the record industry spent half as much time, money and energy trying to figure out how to adjust to the changing technology rather than trying to fight it and sue people, they would be far better off.

In 1998 I worked at Tower Records in Boston. I told them that the music industry was changing, and that they needed to come up with a Muse machine that would let you not only look up the information about a band, but would allow you to download the music and make your own mixed cd on the spot.
They laughed at me.
They are no longer in business.
