Curious Case of Benjamin Button-

In two words... Fucking Great.

I hadn't seen it when it was out. I'm not sure why. I love David Fincher films. But the negative things I had heard about this scared me away.

How long it was.

How it was a remake of Forest Gump.

Well other than following an interesting person through their life, the comparison to Forest Gump ends there. And the length flew by. The story was epic, the scenes looked amazing, and the acting was also amazing.

I had bought the Criterion dvd today. I was intrigued that on it's first release that Criterion put their own edition of it out. It told me that there truly must be something amazing about this film.

And there was.

If you haven't seen this, do so soon.

This should have won best picture. It is a true achievement on every level of film making.

Makes me hate Slumdog Millionaire even more now.
