Paul and The Patients

I had emails waiting for me this morning. Nothing too fun. Estimates that needed to be done for a project. Sure it would be money coming in, but even with the end result of getting paid, estimates are never fun to do. So I wrapped them up and then started to catch up on other emails. I remebered I had the EP To The Lions by Paul and The Patients to review.

I was barely into the start of the interesting slightly off key guitars of the first song Complaint 15, when I was now feeling myself more relieved than I was just minutes before. By the time I hit the third song Blogspot I was feeling like this was a band I have been listening to for years. Maybe it was the contrast against my previous computer based task. Maybe it was the perfect soundtrack for a cloudy overcast day at 7AM. But whatever it was the music worked for me.

It's jangly slightly off guitar based music with a hint of melancholy pop to it. So give them a listen and maybe it will have the same effect on you as it had on me.
