A Tale of Two Movies

I had tivo'd Forgetting Sarah Marshall a week ago. Nancy and I finally got around to watching last night.

We made it 30 minutes in. Turned it off and deleted off the Tivo forever.

At about 20 minutes in we both asked the other if it was just them that hated it. It was boring, not funny and the acting was piss poor.

Nancy headed off to watch bad TV and do her nails. I flipped around channels and landed on Suicide Kings. I saw the movie in the theater, own it on dvd and have watched it countless times. I love the movie. It helped me quickly forget the rotten movie I had just turned off.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was stupid. And it had an unforgiveable amount of peen in it. Mostly because of who the peen was attached to...

I liked it enough. It made me laugh. I've seen it more than once which might be too many times though.

I liked this movie - Jason Segel was sad-sack funny, Bill Hader, Jack McBrayer and Paul Rudd are fun to watch, and the unrequited love between Russell Brand and Jonah Hill was bittersweet. The Vampire puppet musical was good, too.
