Odd Drive To Work

While I was driving Jett to school we saw a couple of very odd things while on Landsdowne.

In the middle of one intersection, was a car with it's emergency lights on. Coming up from behind I assumed they had broken down. But as we passed we saw that the front end was smashed in. Problem was there was no other car around.

Then up several more blocks one lane was closed by a work truck, where two workers were going to start fixing a road sign that had looked like it had been run over.

Did we just miss some sort of high speed chase? Or maybe a crazed old lady driving insanely. Or maybe it was some sort of Godzilla like creature on a rampage.
