I was reading the sunday Post Dispatch.
A letter to the editor was from a father whose teenage son hung himself in prison. The letter was about spending fathers day without his son, and to other fathers who are spending fathers day without their sons "because of the harsh criminal justice system."
What I wondered is what was the crime his son committed hat put him in prison?
ANd what did I find? He was in prison for shooting another teenage boy.
So what about what that father had to suffer through?
There was no mention of his sorrow for what his sons crime did to this other boys father and family.
Sure maybe the justice system is harsh sometimes. But a simple way to not end up in prison...
Don't shoot someone.
