I've Watched A Lot Of Movies And Stuff

And I haven't been reviewing things at all. So here is my very lazy short reviews of a lot of stuff. No posters, no links, just quick thoughts.

Exam-
Turn your mind off to enjoy this movie.

Easy A-
An 80's high school movie filmed in 2010.

Frontiers-
French movie that is part, texas chainsaw, part hostel, part from dusk till dawn, but without vampires.

Hot Tub Time Machine-
Worth getting in.

Grown Ups-
Dumb Adam Sandler movie with good music and maybe two funny scenes.

Crips and Bloods: Made in America-
A documentary by Stacy Peralta. Don't let that pedigree fool you.

Suspect Zero-
Forgettable serial killer movie.

We've also been watching some stand-up.
The funny:
Bill Burr: Let It Go
Mike Birbiglia: What I Should Have Said...
Kevin Smith: Too Fat for 40

The not funny:
Orny Adams: Takes the Third
Whitney Cummings: Money Shot
Russell Brand in New York City
Doug Stanhope: No Refunds

I was also disappointed in Whitney Cummings' special and I really like her on other stuff...All the jokes were like hot girl jokes about how prude she is, which is kind of worse than stand up comedy ladies joking about how slutty they are. It just made me think of how much I would not have sex with her.

Mike Birbigs is great and I just finished his book. Some of the stupid foot in mouth backpedaling hijinks he gets himself into really remind me of myself.

Finally, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE is amazing.

hot tub time machine was fantastic. there is a waiter in the tulsa area with 1 arm. i think this is the worst profession for a 1 armed man. besides being a bell boy.

I really liked Frontiers. Have you seen "Them", a French movie similar to 2008's "The Strangers"?

Man, I thought Exam was terrible. Saw it on some "Best 2010 Movies You Missed" list. It said it was a great script.

Cookie-cutter characters, bad dialogue, bad acting... I guess people thought the premise was good enough to outweigh that stuff. But I thought the premise turned out super lame in execution... Saw is a watered-down Se7en, and this is a watered-down Saw. Different in a lot of ways, but Exam thinks it's a lot more clever than it actually is (like Saw).

Okay, done with rant. You look great with Nick's new t-shirt!
