So within the first 5 minutes once we set up a park ranger stopped and I feared that we were gonna be shut down before we even started. He just wanted to know if we were asking for signatures on a petition. When we told him that we were having a bike race he was fine with that. So drinking and racing bikes is ok, but putting your name on a piece of paper is a no no.
I would like to thank the wonderful checkpoint volunteers: Julie, Megan, Matt, Jim, Aimee, Matt, Steven, Liz, Ryan, Pat and Kyle. I would also like to thank Big Shark Bicycle and Official Beer Glove for donating the prizes. I would like to not thank the Royale for backing out from letting us using their place for the finish all because they don't like a couple of FBC people. And thanks to all the people who came out to race. Neat.

To those of you who know the routes you took...I'd be interested to see how long some of them ended up to be. Google Map them and post the milage if you have some time.

Congratulations to everyone. Good job Aaron. Hopfully I can be there next summer. Can't wait to see some pictures.

I used google earth, their ruler feature lets you trace your path using a satellite photo. I have found that to be easier for stuff like this, getting google maps to route like I would can be a bitch.

I came up with 16 miles.
