So last night a couple friends and I went to see SAW 4. We went to see it at a giant 20 screen megaplex. On a Monday night it is not very full and quite pleasant. On a weekend night it can be teenage hoosier fest, which equals very annoying. We were seeing the movie on the IMAX screen. There is nothing like giant fully digital gore.
The movie was fun. If you've seen the SAW movie series, than you know you need to enter them with a complete suspension of disbelief. The plots are not realistic, but they are clever and if you're a fan of horror movies the movie still has very original death scenes. For a movie that is the third sequel, it held up very well. IT of course sets things up for SAW 5, but you knew that would happen. The studio won't stop making these till they stop making money hand over fist.
The other great thing about this certain theater, is they serve beer. So a 32oz. beer makes the fully digital gore that much more enjoyable.
