I love horror movies. I have since I was a little kid. Before I was in grade school my room was monster themed. So over all these years I have seen a lot of scary movies. For me the two scariest movies I have seen that still stick with me are The Ring (American version) and The Entity.
Many people didn't find The Ring scary, but for me I bought into the story and the visuals were so odd and creepy it made my skin crawl.
The Entity is one of those movies that is supposedly based on a true story. It is about a woman who is attacked by a ghost. And even when she moves or leaves the house the ghost follows her and attacks her. It was creepy stuff.
So what movies scare you?

The Exorcist still gives me the creeps...and the first Hellraiser was hella creepy too
While many people always put The Exorcist up at the top, it never did it for me. But I would blame that on my staunch anti-religious beliefs.
The Shining. That's cuz I had a nightmare around 7. My mom slapped me awake. I woke up with the elevator/blood scene on tv and my tooth and blood on the floor. Scary.
When A Stranger Calls got me for months. The one with Carol Kane. Of course I was prime babysitting age at the time. One of my fondest memories was staying up late with my mom to watch my first horror movie. It was called The Uninvited, and was in black and white. They didn't have any special effects technology in 1944 when the movie was made, and they didn't try. They just used super simple effects and left a lot to the imaginagion. I remember it scaring the hell out of me and I loved it.
The first 10 minutes of When a Stranger is great. I remeber seeing it in the theater when it came out and yes it was scary. Good one.
