Stupid Lawsuits

So below is a link to a story I just read:

In short a little girl who was 9 at the time was riding her bike(without a helmet) down a steep road, crashed and hit her head on a wooden post that were along the side of the road.

This is a horrible thing, no child should ever have anything bad happen to them.

The crazy part is the parents are suing the people who designed and built the road for 25 million!
What the hell? Where were the parents when their 9 year old was out riding her bike? Why would she be riding unsupervised?

Why can people not take responsibility for their own actions.

Sure maybe if the parents were out with her it all may have happened exactly the same. Accidents suck. When people are seriously hurt from and accident, it sucks even more.

But you know what? Accidents happen. It's just part of life.
