City Academy

This is a video I did for a local school for underserved children. It was a pro-bono project that I did at an agency I used to work at. I got a cameraman friend of mine to work for a fraction of his normal rate and we went out and filmed for a few hours one day. I really wasn't looking forward to filming a bunch of kids and having to try to edit the footage we ended up with, because I really didn't think we would end up with anything exciting.

In our first few minutes at the school our minds were completely turned around. The school is great, the program is great, the kids are great, the teachers are great. The whole experience was completely uplifting. And I am personally very happy with the end result video. When I showed it to my wife once I had the rough edit done, it made her cry. So it properly pulled at the heart strings as it should. since a main use would be to show it in fund raising events.
