I think I will start a new organization called Mock the Vote. We won't do anything other than have a clever logo, some shirts and maybe a neat poster or two, oh and we have to have a bumper sticker.
I don't vote. Never have and most likely never will. You can tell me how important it is and how bad I am. I don't care.
The two party system is a joke. The electoral college is a joke. Sure you can tell me about all the other fringe parties, but do they ever really have a shot? Why is it that people need to raise millions upon millions of dollars just to campaign to try and get a parties nomination? Couldn't we put that same money towards something far better?
I am sure there are many people far smarter than me who will tell me how our system is good and how I should do my part and vote. Well I am doing my part by not voting. And by how many people actually go out to the polls, not voting should say something very loud and clear. A lot of people don't tow party lines and don't believe in voting the lesser of the two evils method.
I am neither democrat or republican. I am a free thinking person whose values and beliefs can't all fall inline with some giant evil organization.
So I'll let you know when the Mock the Vote materials are done and ready. Wanna help the cause?
