It was a bad week for computers in my house. Not only did my laptop end up needing a new hard drive, Elias' computer had the usb ports go bad. Every time you would plug something into them the computer would shut down. I found this out while trying to set up my iphone. which made the situation suck that much more. I then headed over to my mom's house to use her imac, but it too would not work to set up my iphone. Luckily I turned to my ex-wife, Lisa, who lent me her laptop. TaDa, iphone bliss. I also updated her computer for her and gave her a ton of movies on it, so she made out ok.
Now back to Elias' computer, I took it to Mac Headquarters in Maplewood. They said it sounded like a logic board problem, which didn't sound good nor cheap to me. But then he said he could just put in a usb card in some slot, that I had no idea what he was talking about. Well $20 later the computer is back to it's perfect working self. So if you have a MAC with a problem, I can recommend them highly.
Well now my task will be to take the christmas decorations down. Luckily we don't put too much up.
