itunes

Sticking it to the man.

Don't get me wrong I am against people downloading their entire music collection for free. But if you want to share a purchase with some friends or download that out of print song then I think you should be able to do that.

This software only does the same thing as burning a cd but without wasting the cd. Why add to landfill if it's not needed. I would love to hear some new stuff friends of mine have bought, but I would import the cd to my computer and never use the cd again. ANd when I've gotten something I like from a friend it normally gets me to go buy more things from that artist.

I know this is not the way it is for everyone, but there will always be those cheap asses who abuse things. So lets worry less about them and more about how sharing can benefit. I have long thought that itunes should raise the price per song but drop the complete album price. I would buy a lot more music if a whole digital album only cost $5. But at $10-$12 a pop, I pick and choose.
