Movie Review

Death Proof-
All I had heard about this is it was a lot of talking and little action. Well that turned out to be true. The movie was ok. IT's hard to be too judgmental on the grindhouse movies since they were meant to be campy. But I would still say the movie was disjointed. It felt like two movies. There was little to hod together the two sections to me. And the other bit was it felt very 70''s, but then when a character used a cell phone it felt very out of place. And also the use of dust and scratches and intentional bad edits seemed to stop halfway through, but then appeared again at the very end. Overall the movie was ok, too long just as was Planet Terror. It's worth a rental, but that would be about it. I can see why this grindhouse experiment failed in the theaters. The movies were far too long and not really worth the 3 hour investment of time. And for the dvds to be released as separate movies and the fake trailers not to be included is a completely lame move by the studio.
