Movie reviews

Nancy and I watched two documentaries last night.

Confessions of a Superhero-
This is about the folks who dress up as all sorts of characters and hang out in front of Mans Chinese Theater in LA and take photos with tourists. This movie was awesome. It was sad, funny, odd and uplifting all at the same time. I loved the use of still photography as transitions. See this movie.

The King of Kong-
This is an odd tale of a lot of freaks and one fairly normal guy who are living in a time warp of competitive retro video games. The guy Billy who holds many of the records and is idolized by a huge pack of losers is easily one of the biggest assholes ever to appear on-screen. Good can triumph over evil.

Check out both these movies. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, tough luck. Go rent the crap you must normally watch.
