Movie Review

Cache'-
I had read about this quite awhile ago and thought it sounded good. And lately I have heard mention of it from several critics while reviewing the directors new movie, his shot for shot remake of Funny Games. And the critics say that Cache is a far better movie/thriller.

We those critics owe me two hours of my life back. This movie sucked. Sure there are a lot of people out there who seem to like it because it's an "art" film. Well you know what art films can suck too. And this one sucks. The first 20 minutes are so are pretty interesting. But it goes downhill from there. The characters aren't truly developed. They interact with each other like they are on the show LOST, they don't truly speak to each other. They ask just enough to move the story slightly forward and keep all answers that could be revealed, hidden. And don't start the bullshit that that was the point, since the titles translation to english is "hidden". If this movie wasn't French and instead the same story was filmed in the same quality but starred people from whatever bad 20something drama is popular on TV now, critics and people would hate this movie for it's complete lack of plot.

Note to art film directors: You can make a statement and still make a good movie with a plot.

I bought this movie months ago...without seeing it first.

Now I like me some fucked up bad movies...and a lot of times most people hate a lot of the weirder movies that I'll rave about. And without cable, I'll watch most any movie all the way through, then re-watch it and then watch the special features.

That being said...I turned Cache off 45 minutes in due to its blowing assedness. And I never turn a movie off.
