So this article has a scary first sentence:
"Get ready for another economic shock of major proportions — a virtual doubling of prices at the gas pump to as much as $10 a gallon."
THis entire evil oil company thing is starting to sound like a story line out of a Tank Girl comic. But rather than the evil company hoarding water and getting rich while the masses suffer it is with oil.
When will things come to a breaking point? How much longer will people read about record profits that the oil companies made while the masses can barely afford to drive to work, take their kids to school. Not to mention how it will affect prices of most all other goods.
Will workplaces have to start be understanding of people arriving late since they may have to start biking to work more.
If St. Louis had an actual mass transit system it would be a viable option, but we really don't.
