Makes Me Sad

I like seeing cool advertising/Design work. But it makes me sad at the same time. There is so much crap and very few truly cool things. This ad is kick ass.

I would love to know the whole story behind this. How did they get the assignment? What did the brief look like? What was the timing? How many comps did they present? What did the other comps look like?
