Movie Review

The Third Man-

This was the first movie for the monthly movie club. The club is to see classics that none of us has ever seen. If you'd like to come email me and I will add you to the list.

It won the Oscar for best cinematography, which was well deserved. The movie was amazing looking.

As with all old movies there are parts that just seem odd now, but overall it was really good.

The movie is worth seeing just for this quote (which Orson Welles improvised):
" Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Genius.
