Amazon and TiVo Present: BUY. IT. NOW.

This is cool. But it also sucks.

"Introducing Buy. It. Now.:
When your favorite author is promoting his or her newest book on a talk show, no need to write a reminder, with a few clicks of the remote control it will be delivered to your door, via Amazon.com. Viewers will be also be able to search for DVDs, books, and other items based on their favorite TV shows, without missing a second of programming."

I had this idea about 5 years ago. Although my thoughts pushed it a bit further. I wanted to have shows that had no commercials. Everything was product placement. Through Tivo you could pause the show at any point, select a menu that would tell you what clothes the characters were wearing, what music was playing, what cars they were driving, whatever was going on in the scene that a consumer could buy. It left all the ad intrusiveness in the hands of the viewer. Obviously this idea would work best on a show like "The Hills" or whatever hot show the teen-twenty somethings are hooked on.

It will only be a matter of time till my idea happens and I don't get jack shit for it.
