I like the snow. Hopefully I will be able to get out to Hidden Valley to take advantage of having real snow.
I also really like my car. I have a MazdaSPEED 3.
It is nothing but good fast fun.
But it sucks in the snow. The absolute worst car I have ever tried to drive in the snow.
Luckily I put a shovel in the back today before I left the house. Because I had to dig myself out after my morning pre-production meeting. And even then I still had to get the help of the good folks at 90DW to push.
The answer; HEATED STREETS.

We have a Mazda5. I don't think it's excellent in the snow either- but perfect for our family. I think I'll continue to buy Mazdas.
Do you have snow tires? I put some 17" blizzaks on my Mazdaspeed 3 and it's been fine here in MA.
No snow tires. Maybe next year I can look into getting some. I have custom rims on it, so I could have a set of snow tires put on the stock rims, and swap them out.
It will make a world of difference. Check out the bridgestone LM series at Tire Rack. That's where I got my set-up.
