Lissy Trullie January 30

Lissy Trullie at The Gargoyle Club
She's on her first major tour in advance of the release of her debut EP Self-Taught Learner.

YOu can head to her myspace page and check out a few of the songs.

Here's what some publications have been saying:

Time Out New York remarked that “Her dangerously cool tunes, which mash up dancey new wave, '60's girl-group sounds and the softer side of the Velvet Underground, hit upon the core aloofness that typifies most great New York rock. Simply put, Trullie's magnetism is the kind that can't be learned."

Flaunt describes her as “an impeccably self-styled singer and songwriter--a sort of anti-Dylan, immaculately conceived by Grace Slick, birthed in a downtown alley at night, while ‘Play With Fire’ by the Rolling Stones echoed in the street.”

As a CMJ 2008 Pick for Spin, they raved that there is “an elegance about Trullie's simple aesthetic, from the unadorned guitar work to her coy but monosyllabic lyrics, and she exuded a captivating vulnerability when her boyish voice grasped at higher pitches.”
