So I ordered a hip bag from transient bags.
A lot of the time riding with a courier bag feels like overkill and in the summer can lead to a horrible case of sweaty back. Plus my old shoulders hurt lugging a bag on my back.
And yes I know this is just a fanny pack, by a not as dorky name. But it will hold the things I really need to carry.

nothing was cooler than the vision street wear hip packs from the 80s.
Those were sweet. I personally had a G&S one. I wish I would have kept it. And they did make life better knowing that your wallet or keys didn't fall out somewhere in the city as you'd been street skating around.
peat henry has a vision pack. I use my lesportsac one as a purse, and most of the time I'll wear it slung around my shoulder like it's a tiny courier bag to avoid having awkward waist bulge.
I also like the essential items they've decided to include in the picture of what can fit in there...pretty funny.
oooh Ooh! what i really like about those is that you can buy one that has a slot for a U lock!!!!! I'm so getting one.
i had a purple gator hip pack. it looked sweet with my whip hair cut.
I bought a Chrome hipbone last summer, kinda the same thing i think. I bought it for the same reasons. I hated it. I dont know why, it just felt so big and doofy. I wanted to like it, i really did, just couldnt get used to it. Good luck.
