Your taxes are due.

This is the day I would say most every American hates. The day you wake up and realize how much is being taken from you.

I will add some links to this post and rant a bit more later today. I am off to take Elias to school and will be away from my computer for most of the day. So tune in later for more pissed off tax payer.

So there have been a lot of protests going on today around the country. Too bad they seem to have a right wing agenda attached to them.

So I've been reading How long and out of control the tax code has gotten and how it is at 60,000-pages and is 3.7 million words. It would take the average person more than 300 hours to get through that many words written clearly, let alone the scary mix of legalese and nonsense in these piles.

How does this not tell people we should go to a Flat Tax.

But the problem there is taxes are big business. What would happen to H&R block? OR Turbo Tax or any of all the other insanity related to doing your taxes.

Think of the money saved just by not printing out all the billions of stupid tax forms you need.

Flat tax for everyone. No deductions, no credits, not nothing. They take a set percentage. Done.
