I am going to set a day for myself where I stay away from email for a full day.

I know I am addicted to checking it. I've talked about it before. But I feel my email habit is getting worse.

Maybe I'll shoot for this Friday.

I have quite a bit going on that day, so it could be an easy day to try it.

This will be interesting, to see if I can do it, and to see how many emails I get in a full day. And it will be a day that the agency I do freelance at is closed so that will drop my grand email total quite a bit.

While I do love email I would say it's gotten out of hand how people use it. I'm just as guilty as anyone, but it really should never be used to discuss something, it should never be used to ask any sort of emergency or pressing request, and you always need to remember that email has no tone, so an innocent request or statement could make you seem like a complete asshole.

So if you need to get a hold of me Friday, don't use email.
