Done

I hate Twitter.

That was my stance. but I was going to truly give it a chance during the month of July.

I did.

I still think it is stupid as hell.

I was going to try and use it for self promotion for both this blog and my freelance work.
It really didn't get me jack shit.

The one highlight was when there was a post from Blues City Deli about the special for the day. And I went and had that sandwich for lunch.

Other than that it's just a bunch of crap that I don't give a shit about.

So if you were a person who started following me, sorry there will never again be any updates. If I am following you, don't send any private messages to me. I will never see them. Do something crazy like email, text or call me.

Fuck Twitter.

The only thing I've done in my time on twitter is get phone updates from the SIMYP girl. That and Anchovy will post a twit pic of funny things he sees in thrift stores sometimes. I signed in the other day to the site to see if I felt like getting more involved in it, and it looked just as difficult and banal to sift through as facebook friends' status updates.

It is weird every time I get a notification that someone is following me, I feel like "sorry to disappoint but I've never even tweeted once" but then I remember that when I signed up they like automatically sign you up to follow everyone and anyone in your address book.

I am also totally confused with the whole @username reply interface thing, it just makes everything hard to read...for example someone i was following wrote something about being somewhere in real life with friend #1 and @friend#2 and it links to their twitter and then I just lost whatever the hell they were talking about because it's not like a normal link at all and everything is out of order. How is this so popular and why do people think it is easy to use?!

It's why I hated it to begin with. People would talk about following Lance Armstrong. But I don't give a shit what he is doing.

For me it was facebook status but mostly to and from strangers. Which is why I don't care.

I mostly don't care what my friends are up to.

If something good is going on I would hope my friends would let me know in a fashion that the message might actually make it to me.

And since I don't go anywhere without my iphone, that means calls, texts or email will all be seen by me quite quickly.
