Last night was national night out.
It was also my 3rd year of riding bikes around and crashing block parties.
It was the 4th year of the group going to one party in the west end. The people who live there are super nice. They made us food, gave us beer and fireworks and ice cream.
A friend and I were headed home but were passing Atomic Cowboy, where some other friends of ours were DJing. So we stopped to have ONE BEER. Close to the end of that beer, the rest of the riders came strolling in. So then we had to stay longer. Didn't we?
I also had a crazy conversation with a girl who had gone to the same junior high as my oldest son. That didn't make me feel old. Not at all. Argh.
Tonight is the full moon ride. So if you like fun and have a bike, meet at turtle park at 10PM. Ride will leave at 11PM.

I actually thought she was 20 but couldn't figure out why she acted so much younger than that because every time I see her out she will do slightly embarrassing attention grabbing things or say things that you're just like "yeah, and that's part of growing up, you're not the only one that stuff like that happens to" etc...it all made sense last night...she's 19 and [chose to be????] catholic!
