Movie Review

Appaloosa-

I remember when this came out I basically ignored it mostly because the name of the movie is kinda dumb. YEah sure it's the name of the town but you don't know that till you watch it. But much like several other movies with dumb names this movie kicked some serious ass.

I could have gotten over the name and given the movie a chance long ago had I known that Ed HArris wrote, produced, directed and stars in the movie. Not that I am some huge Ed HArris fan, but I am always willing to see movies where one person has that level of involvement in a movie. Because you know what you are seeing is truly what they wanted you to see.

If you like westerns, I strongly suggest you check this movie out.

One sad bit of trivia about the movie is the part of Allison French was originally cast as Diane LAne, but she left in pre production and the part went to Renée Zellweger.

I was really surprised at how much I liked this movie, even with the Squirrel as the love interest. Another recent Western I liked was 3:10 To Yuma...Ben Foster's voice is mesmerizing
