Sure I'll Join In.

I've seen stories about this popping up on news sites and other blogs. a plus sized model posed naked in in Glamour magazine.

The talk has been about that she is a size 12 and more the "normal" size of a woman in America. But she is 5-foot-11 tall and weighs 180lbs. That is not the norm. The average height of a woman is 5-foot-3.

Many of the comments on the sites that have run this story are all about how great it is to see a normal woman who has a tummy, etc...

Are women striving to be a size 12? That is unless they are bigger than a 12. I doubt it. Is there anyone who has a tummy and is more out of shape that doesn't wish to be in better shape?

I am fine that people of all shapes and sizes are comfortable with how they are. But just because a cute heavy chick poses naked in a magazine you really shouldn't use that as an excuse to not have to ever lose weight or workout yourself.

I'm 5' 10" 160 lbs. But before my accident it was more like summer weight: 135, winter weight: 145. The models that I've met that make a lot of money at it made me feel wide, that's for sure.

And would you rather stay 160 or be back to 140ish?

Let's just say that although I'm enjoying some of it, I definitely don't photograph as well.

It IS about health and fitness...NOT about what size you are. The media has done a fabulous job of brainwashing women into thinking about dress size, not about being healthy. Hence, the eating disorder problems that exist among 16-15 year olds. Our priorities are totally skewed...
