Book Review

The Road-

It was a quick read. It had sucked me in.

But then as it got closer to the end it seemed the author just wanted to stop writing.

I wasn't looking for things to be wrapped up nice and tidy, but it was very anti-climatic after all the time we had spent with the two main characters.

There were times of suspense but little ever happened from those moments.

This was my second attempt at a Cormac McCarthy book. At least I made it all the way through this one. I gave up on the pretentious No Country For Old Men. But I can now say I am done with his books.

The movie thats coming out looks to have all the scenes from the book, but it seems like they have built upon the ideas in the book and hopefully have brought it to life and improved the issues about the book that bugged me.
