Here is a site that put together a list of the top 7 horror movie themes. These are all very good. I do think I would add The Thing (new version) to the list. Because while it sounds like a typical John Carpenter composition it was actually by Ennio Morricone (of Good the bad and the ugly fame, along with tons and tons more).
