Leaves

I had a lot of raking in my future this weekend.

Last weekend I had paid some neighborhood kids to rake. We have a ton of leaves since we have a giant tree in front of our house. It turned out to be the worst money I had ever spent. Because while they did an amazingly thorough job, a couple hours after they were done, the yard was covered in leaves again.

It sucked.

So yesterday morning as I look out the window at my front yard the leaves covered every square inch of it. And they were thick too.

I was not looking forward to this.

But then last night as I was heading upstairs to go to bed I glanced out the window. It looked like there were no leaves in my yard. It was dark so I thought maybe I was seeing things or maybe the wind blew a section sort of clear.

I looked again. It really seemed like the entire yard was clear.

I grabbed the key and opened the front door. There were leaves on my front walk, but none on my yard. And my neighbors yard also appeared clear. So it's not like all my leaves blew over to the next yard.

There seem to be a lot of unexplained phenomenon going on around here lately.
