So a fellow blogger I know, made her list of the top music of 2009. So I thought what the hell I will throw my opinion out there as well. So in no particular order:
Them Crooked Vultures- Them Crooked Vultures:
This is what a super group should be able to achieve. Sure I'd like them to maybe have a different singer just so it doesn't sound like QOTSA, but I love QOTSA so I really can't complain much.
And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead- The Century of Self:
I love anything this band does. This might be my favorite album of theirs since Source Tags and codes.
Japandroids- Post-Nothing:
I discovered this band on a hipster music site best of list. What do you know... they were right.
Mos Def- The Ecstatic:
Rap that I dig.
Ojm- The Light Album:
Nothing new or groundbreaking here, but it sets my toe a tappin', and I like it.
That's all I can come up with. While I bought a ton of stuff in 2009, I guess I didn't buy a lot that came out in 2009.
