Movies & Snow

My office is once again shut today.

So I will work from home and also be able to hang out with Jett.

Yesterday I watched several movies. Nancy hadn't seen The Social Network, so I watched it for a second time. It was still good on a second viewing.

Let Me In-

The American remake of the brilliant Let The Right One In.

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It had a good look to it. It's own look. And it improved on a couple of things from the original. I preferred the way they, handled the Dad, got rid of the town boozers, had the one woman starting to turn into a vampire and how the "helpers" second victim situation goes wrong.

The car crash scene shot was awesome.

The end scene was nowhere near as cool. And the CGI attacks were a bit silly. The subtlety of the original was far better.

If you are bored it's worth watching. If you like the original, its also worth checking out. If you have never seen either, start with the original. It is overall better.

127 Hours-

It was good. It was refreshing to see a person in a bad situation and not panic. Instead stay quite calm and intelligent about a dire situation.

And it held my attention quite well for pretty much only having one person in in, and they can't move from one spot.

Still really tense even though you know how things end up. Minus an arm and still alive.

Not best picture worthy, but a good movie.
