One of my favorite books, Mr. Wilson's Cabinet Of Wonders opens by telling this exact story! It refers to a permanent exhibit in one of my favorite places around LA (and the world for that matter) The Museum of Jurassic Technology and I can't believe I never posted any of my pictures from it, you can see them in my mobileme gallery, just ignore all the other vacation pictures and if you want to know more about what anything is, I'd be happy to explain, or lend you one of my 2 copies of the book if you want.
