Crap.
I've heard the book was good, but going from crazy fantasy other worldly sequence to creepy pedophile scenes is just too disjointing.
None of the characters are developed enough.
This is a classic case of a piss poor adaptation, because of not knowing what to trim out for the screen.
Pass on this hunk of crap.
First line of Roger Ebert's review:
"The Lovely Bones" is a deplorable film with this message: If you're a 14-year-old girl who has been brutally raped and murdered by a serial killer, you have a lot to look forward to."

It's call Lovely Bones and the cover has a sunset...really, did you expect it to be good?
it's about murder and rape. How could that not be entertaining?
yeah, like every girl I knew in high school read this stupid book. Did you watch the preview before you saw it?
