Movie Review

Machete-

The first 5 or so minutes before the credits were cool, bloody and funny. I could've done without the fake film scratches, but then after that it went down hill. There were some ok parts, but a movie like this should never be more than 90 minutes. This clocked in way too long.

The whole grindhouse thing has been pretty much a failure to me. Because the movies they are paying homage to weren't trying to be bad. They were trying to be over the top in one way or another, but were cheesy because of budget, actors etc.

So I would be far more interested to see the directors who want to do grindhouse now, limit themselves to a super small budget, and see what they can do.

I am bored of the big budget, flashy grindhouse movie.
