The Pitch

Nancy and I watched the second episode last night.

With both episodes that have aired thus far, I think the client picked the wrong idea.

The Ad Store had a wonderful simple idea that took something familiar and had a new way of looking at it.

SK+G won because they basically distracted the client with shiny metal objets. A video that was cheesy and pointless to anyone other than the clients, and a smart phone app that was neat but very flash in the pan and not sure if it would be something consumers would ever actually do. Or at least do more than once.

SK+G also seemed filled with douchebags. SUre all I know of them is the minutes they were on TV, but the owner was an ass. And the bald GCD was a pompous jerk. They were the typical self important ad industry fools who think that working more means it will be better. Here is a newsflash for you, if the word is you are a sweatshop of an agency that is not a good thing. It doesn't mean you work harder, it means you work stupider.

The show is still worth watching. Yes it is not completely real life, but it's not too far off.
