What a turd.
How was this up for best picture?
It couldn't even figure out what kind of movie it wanted to be. It tried to be serious, it tried to be funny. And it failed at both. Many of the things that happened were straight out of a bad sitcom. Throw a laugh track on this movie and I think that's what you would have, A 2+ hour crappy sitcom.
And how did a mediocre dancer get into a competition without even having a partner?
There were so many plot holes, and things without enough explanation, but I would've needed to care about the characters to really want to know more. So I was fine with the plot holes.
I kept waiting for this crappy movie to get better. But it did not.
