New Robocop
I thought this was a bad idea to remake when I first heard the news. And it looks like I was right. I'm sure if someone had not seen the original they could enjoy this new version. But I will pass. It looks too slick. Too shiny and action-y. And unless they are hiding all the social commentary, it seems to be laking one of the best parts of the original.

Yikes! What a waste. I'm sure it will not have Verhoeven's perfect blend of wit, satire, and, uncompromising violence. Without that, you've just got an Ironman that can't fly. I'll probably check it out anyway, due to my raging cinephilia.
