Cloud Atlas-
I had been wanting to see this since it was out in theaters. But as with pretty much everything I did not go see it. For some reason I let the negative reviews sway me away from buying the blu ray when it came out.
I recorded it several weeks ago on HBO.
The 3 hour run time had kept me from watching it. And I didn't know what to expect. So it sat, unwatched.
Until last night.
We started it at 9pm. I knew how long it was. Nancy had no idea.
The time flew by. The story was awesome. The movie looked amazing.
I'm not sure I've seen any movies that drift between drama, humor, action, period pieces, science fiction all within mnutes. How the story was told took a bit of getting used to, but then once you were accustomed to it, the way it would go between time and scenes and tie them into each other was great.
The actors all play many many roles in the movie. Sometimes it's easy to spot. Others we had no idea till the credits ran.
I strongly suggest watching this movie. I loved it.
