Come check out Weatherbox at The Demo July 27. They have a sound that is a mix of power pop, with a rough edge to it. There are moments that remind me of The Hold Steady. So go out and check them out.
Debuting at 28 on the Billboard Heatseekers charts, the first full-length release in over half a decade from the "smart, raucous San Diego combo," writes Entertainment Weekly, "draws its passionate thrust from front-man Brian Warren's struggles with psychosis. And despite the heavy feedback and punishingly sharp sadness," they note, "[Weatherbox] still dabble in radio-friendly sugar without ever weakening their teeth."
