Books And Concerts

Flipping through Entertainment weekly yesterday there was an ad for a book called Denton Little’s Deathdate. It takes place in a near future where everyone knows the exact date they will die. The story starts the day before our protagonist is to die. The book was good pulpy fun. It was a page turner. I started it yesterday and finished it this morning. I am sure it will be optioned for a movie.

Went and saw ...and you will know us by the trail of the dead last night. It was my 4th time seeing them. The show was at The Ready Room, and it was the poor sound of the room that keeps it fro easily being in my top 10 shows of all time. The band was amazing. Their energy after 20 years of doing this has not let up at all. The selection of songs was near perfect. Was glad to see them switching instruments and vocal duties. And glad to see they’ve moved past smashing their instruments.

Thanks to my friend Slappy for the free ticket.

And got to see a drunken idiot get forcibly thrown out. Always funny.
