Piss poor customer service

I just got a call from the Apple store telling me my computer was ready to be picked up. One problem, I picked it up almost 2 weeks ago. So I tell them I already had my computer. A few minutes later I get another call from them. They seemed to have lost their half of the paperwork. They tell me how they can't close this out of their system without it. I am still not understanding how this is my problem. They then ask if I could find the paperwork and bring it in. I was waiting for the part where there was some incentive for me to do so, but that never came. Now I like apple, but unless there is a real reason for me to rush and find where I put the paperwork and make a special trip to the mall to bring it to them, I hope they understand it will be at my leisure. All it would have taken was, "hey this would really help us out from the mistake we made. How about an itunes gift card for your trouble?" But there was none of that. It was just cold, "we need you to bring in the paperwork or we can't close it out." There was no option that they asked to mail it or anything.

The other funny part was if I hadn't picked up my computer they were calling me to let me know it was ready 2 weeks after the fact? Seems that they need to stay on top of those things a bit more.

I wonder how long it will be till they call me again.

should have said that you would come up and get your computer. then when they couldn't find it – retribution! a free computer for you!

That is why I was sort of stunned at their idea that I should find my paperwork and bring it to them, because I could've ripped them off huge. Hopefully being nice will help me in the long run.
