I love Google and I load everything they do that I can get my hands on. Awesome company. But when I want Directory assistance, I hate talking to machines that make me repeat myself 3 or 4 or more times. That's why I call 800-411-SAVE, it is FREE Directory Assistance with REAL People!!! Now that is cool!
While we're at it, don't just stop with one or two. When it comes to free directory assistance, you have LOTS of choices. They differ in some important ways, so try them all out and see which one(s) you prefer. You may want to try them all every so often just to see what's new! Grin!
I prefer the ones that have operators to help when the automation doesn't recognize me, that get me ACCURATE information fast, and that also don't restrict me to only business searches - sometimes I need to find people, too!

I can't agree more, penny pincher. There are so many choices for free directory assistance providers, just what pinetrees reiterated, but i prefer 1-800-411SAVE better than the rest. I once used a DA, a machine-operated one, and it took me a good 20 minutes or so to be able to get the listing I wanted. It's pretty good to have LIVE operators that can assist you in every listing you wanna get. That's what 411SAVE is all about. :-P
