Live music makes me pay attention and like bands that I previously didn't like. It's happened twice this year. This latest times it happened last night. My wife and I just finished watching a movie and were flipping channels when we stopped on Live From Abbey Road. The Kills were on. I had ignored them before because I just lumped them in with the Strokes, White Stripes etc...
But the song they were doing and their performance was kick ass. It made me pay attention. It made me then go download the album.
The album is ok. It doesn't quite have what that live performance had.
But I like anything that gets me into some new music.
